Nah, it’s the Patrick Dougherty twig sculpture – “Diamonds in the Rough” – at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. At least five tractor-trailer loads of sticks and saplings were used, mainly young red maple and sweet gum saplings. With the help of volunteers, it took the artist three weeks to complete the construction. It’s cool… go see it!



The Middle Earth shot is wild. I got a similar shot of the top one cut off by the grassy hill.
