While there are attractive geometrical aspects of the modern design, the bad outweighs the good. In the opinion of the judges, “the principal negative design component is the use of the offsetting patterns of masonry trim for the windows. While perhaps playful, whimsical or consciously irreverent to symmetry, the optic nerve impact to even the casual viewer is discombobulating, dizzying and more than a little nauseating”.
