Business as Usual

This is another example from current exhibitions at the Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke, VA.
Artist/sculptor/craftsman Bob Trotman presents his work (Business as Usual) as a reflection of societal problems, and what an impressive sculptural representation he achieves. With much of his work composed from skillfully formed wood, the artist communicates a sadly dark statement in juxtaposition with the warm beauty of the wood. A sharp-edged cutting commentary conveyed by the smooth contours of his figures.
