When traveling it’s usually fun – but at times sobering – to document the cultural idiosyncrasies of a region. McKinney, Texas (a northeast suburb of Dallas) is modern, very developed, and expanding exponentially. Each visit reveals so many more miles and miles of McMansions, condos and retail development supplanting trees, pastures and wheat fields.
It’s hard if not impossible to believe the experts who proclaim the trend in new home construction is toward smaller homes. It’s certainly not evident in the Richmond or Dallas areas. Sort of looks like 2008 all over again.
