Fire in the Swamp

Acer rubrum L., aka Swamp Maple, is considered by the U.S Forest Service to be one of the most widely distributed trees in eastern North America. Also known as Red Maple… however the fall foliage can be yellow or orange (in horticulture speak, this means the tree “exhibits great morphological variation”.)
