Handy Helper

This is for all you Lone Rangers. How do you demolish a 12′ x 21′ – elevated 4′ above ground level – wooden deck single-handedly*? Use the right tools for the job: Sawzall, circular saw, drill, hammers, a humongous pry bar loaned by Catherine – and perhaps most importantly, the Rockwell Jawstand. The Jawstand can support the long joist beams while they’re being cut, in place of an extra pair of hands.
* Truthfully, many thanks to friend Arthur and son-in-law Cesar, who helped – and offered to help even more.

Final - only temporary - result is a 7' x 12' portion to allow safe egress from the back door until a few days before the deck contractor arrives.
