Ohmygosh, Now I Get It!

I always wondered what the National Cherry Blossom Festival might look like (the trees – not the traffic and the hordes of pedestrians), and now I know. I didn’t have to drive to D.C., Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden has quite a few prime specimens of the Japanese Yoshino cherry tree. The D.C. festival runs 3/20-4/27, but the blooms probably won’t last that long. The early spring heat will take its toll.

Clouds of blooms, clouds in the sky - equally soft & floating.
The trees are truly loaded with blossoms, just beginning to drop petals from the heat.
