The 1969 Chevrolet El Camino remains one of my favorite all time body shapes. To me, the profile is reminiscent of a shark, with the shark snout overbite. This one had the smallest (307ci) of the v8s, and was an automatic, but hey – it was a v8. I planned to add factory-correct wheels, but I flew to CA and left it on the East Coast. I eventually sold the car in 1978 (long distance) for $800, and used the money to buy a sweet 1963 Chevrolet Impala from a little old school teacher in Santa Barbara. No kidding.

That’s a nice one too.
