Brother-in-law Dave owned this Checker Marathon wagon when we lived on the West Coast. Tons of fun. Rugged. Leg room galore. Checker made the classic cab that ruled Manhattan from the 50s to the 80s – replaced by the now defunct Ford Crown Vic (which is being replaced by a new model of Nissan minivan).

Old? These images are from only “yesterday”! Kinda sorta.
I forgot to add, the downside of mining the 35mm slide trove is the tendonitis – from using the mouse to clean up the dust speckles.
