It’s Alive!

This is a great time of year to think (and learn) about what’s going on beneath the surface of the soil: the Soil Food Web. Check out the work of Dr. Elaine Ingham. Dr. Ingham’s research reveals how soil organisms can be fostered and managed in order to grow plants with the least expensive inputs into the system (meaning fewer chemical fertilizers) while maintaining soil fertility.
