Friday Folk Fest

Here are a few impressions from the Friday night opening of the 2018 Richmond Folk Festival. No images related to music? Well, the music scene wasn’t impressive.

The strange thing is that this is a downstream view, but the breaking water seems to be coming upstream. It’s where the downstream flow hits the old dams.
Quite a chaotic swirl.
Simple but cool light art on one of the Brown’s Island bridges. Just think if it was completely functioning. Many strands were not illuminated.
Guys were using jackhammers in a downtown parking deck, with no ear protection and only the basic cotton respiratory masks. Not OSHA-certified.
An interesting light fixture in a part of downtown hardly anyone visits at night. The investment probably could have re-habbed an elementary school.
