On April 6, Lewis Ginter Community Kitchen Garden (CKG) volunteers Catherine Doucette, John Jamieson and Gary Pantaleo established a trial bed of strawberries. This is the first foray into fruit production for the CKG. It’s going to be tough to pluck the flowers this first year and not have any strawberries, but that’s what we’ll have to do to develop the plants for next year.
